ECOT Supports Mental Health Literacy for a Safe & Healthy Workplace

The Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT) is committed to promoting a “Psychologically Safe Workplace” to support sustainable organizational growth alongside the well-being and quality of life of employees in all dimensions.

In this regard, ECOT assigned:
🔹 Mr. Ukrit Kanchanaket, Senior Advisor of ECOT
🔹 Mr. Bowornsak Klaharn, Advisor of ECOT

to participate in the workshop:
✨ “Mental Health Literacy for a Safe & Healthy Workplace”
under the ILO – Mind Month 2026 initiative,
held on 18 May 2026 at the Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University.

This workshop was jointly organized through the collaboration of five organizations:
🔹 International Labour Organization (ILO)
🔹 Department of Mental Health, Thailand
🔹 Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University
🔹 Personnel Management Association of Thailand (PMAT)
🔹 Thai Mental Health Support (TMS)

💡 Key Takeaways from the Workshop:
• Psychosocial Risks directly contribute to burnout, anxiety, and decreased work performance.
• Organizational Mental Health Literacy (OMHL): Modern organizations need to foster a culture of “understanding, listening, and reducing stigma” to achieve long-term sustainability.
• A Psychologically Safe Workplace is becoming a key pillar of modern human resource management and an essential factor in maintaining workforce potential and organizational resilience.

Because employees’ mental well-being is not merely a personal matter — it is a fundamental foundation for strong organizations and a sustainable future of work.
