ECOT Participates in ILO Meeting to Advance Occupational Safety and Health, Elevating Thai Workforce to International Standards

The International Labour Organization (ILO) convened the
 Second Project Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting
under the project
“Promoting a Safe and Healthy Working Environment in Thailand and Cambodia”
on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00 hrs.,
at the Rattanakosin Room, 1st Floor, The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok.

The meeting aimed to:
 • Review progress and challenges in project implementation
 • Provide recommendations on the 2026–2027 workplan
 • Discuss strategic directions for promoting safe and healthy working environments

This project is supported by the Government of Japan under the ILO’s Safety + Health for All programme. It focuses on key emerging issues, including psychosocial hazards and heat stress, which are critical challenges in the modern world of work.

The meeting brought together representatives from various key stakeholders, including government agencies, workers’ organizations, and employers’ organizations, to collaboratively advance occupational safety and health (OSH) policies in Thailand.

As a representative of the employer sector, ECOT plays a vital role in reflecting the perspectives of the business community and supporting the development of safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces. These efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of the Thai workforce in alignment with international standards.

ECOT remains committed to serving as a key mechanism in fostering collaboration among the public sector, private sector, and international organizations to drive a sustainable future of work.
