ECOT Welcomes METI and AOTS Delegations from Japan for Dialogue on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC)

On Tuesday, 29 July 2025, the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT), led by its President, Mr. Ekasit Kunanantakul, along with senior executives:
 • Mrs. Siriwan Romchatthong, Secretary-General
 • Mr. Ukrit Kanchanaket, Senior Advisor
 • Mr. Bowornsak Klaharn, Advisor

warmly welcomed the delegation from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), headed by:
 • Ms. Masayo Ogawa, Deputy Director, Trade Policy Bureau
 • Ms. Mami Irie, Business and Human Rights Policy Office

as well as representatives from the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS), led by:
 • Mr. Yoshito Nishimaki, Senior Deputy Representative
 • Ms. Jongkol Poeksuan, Chief Coordinator

During the meeting, ECOT presented its mission and initiatives to promote Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) and engaged in a policy-level exchange on fostering sustainable collaboration between Thailand and Japan.

Chemical Innovation Co., Ltd., an ECOT member, represented by:
 • Ms. Kulwadee Thamrongthanakit, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Management
 • Mr. Sarun Rujitanon, Marketing and Design Manager

shared their experience in supporting local rice mills as part of a community engagement initiative. The project highlighted that RBC extends beyond core business activities, emphasizing the creation of social value aligned with local contexts and the broader supply chain.

To mark the occasion, ECOT presented the Japanese delegates with the organization’s 48th Anniversary Commemorative Book, symbolizing goodwill and the commitment to strengthening international cooperation in the years ahead.
