📣 ECOT Participates in the ILO Regional Forum

The Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT)
 participated in the International Labour Organization (ILO) Regional Forum
on the topic:

“Demographic Shifts and the Future of Work”

The forum was organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO)
in collaboration with the European Union (EU),
bringing together representatives from countries across the Asia–Pacific region
to exchange policy perspectives and practical approaches
in preparation for future changes in labour markets.

🔍 Key Discussion Topics
The forum focused on critical issues affecting labour markets and businesses, including:

• 👵 Ageing workforce and ageing societies – extending working lives with quality and productivity
• 👩‍🎓 Youth employment and skills development in the context of a declining working-age population
• 🌏 Migration and labour/skills shortages
• 🛡 Social protection systems and intergenerational inequality

For this forum, ECOT was represented by three delegates:

1. Mr. Ukkrit Kanjanakate
2. Mr. Borasak Klahan
3. Mr. Thanaboon Saiwong

Their participation aimed to contribute employer perspectives
 and to help prepare Thailand’s business sector
to adapt to an ageing society and the future of work 🌍
