ECOT | Advancing the Role of Women Workers in Thailand on the National Stage

Mr. Siripong Intavadee, Advisor and Representative of the
Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT),
participated in the 1st Meeting of the Steering Committee for International Women’s Day 2026
on Monday, 2 February 2026, at 9:30 a.m.,
held at the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare.

The meeting was chaired by Ms. Buppha Ruengsud,
Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour,
to discuss progress and guidelines for organizing
International Women’s Day 2026,
as well as to consider the results of the selection of outstanding women workers.

ECOT’s participation in this meeting reflects its active role
 in contributing to labour policy development,
 particularly in promoting the potential of women workers
 and advancing gender equality at the national level.

📅 The International Women’s Day Award Ceremony
is scheduled to be held on 6 March 2026.

ECOT remains committed to serving as a key partner
 in supporting the empowerment of women workers in Thailand
 and driving the labour society toward sustainable gender equality.
