The Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT) participated in the ILO Validation Workshop on:

Rapid Diagnostic Assessment (RDA) of Labour and Socio-Economic Profile of Thailand’s Rubber Supply Chain

ECOT appointed the following representatives to attend the workshop:

▪ Mr. Ukrit Kanjanakate – Senior Advisor, ECOT
▪ Mr. Bavornsak Klaharn – Advisor, ECOT

The workshop was organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) to present the key findings and gather feedback on the Rapid Diagnostic Assessment of labour and socio-economic conditions within Thailand’s rubber supply chain.

The event brought together representatives from government, employers’ organizations, workers’ organizations, and academic institutions to exchange views and validate the study’s findings. Key discussion topics included:

▪ Labour profile and employment conditions in the rubber industry
 ▪ Gaps in decent work and labour standards
▪ Worker representation and freedom of association
▪ Gender equality and inclusion of vulnerable groups
▪ Trade readiness and compliance with international labour standards

The workshop aimed to collect structured feedback from key stakeholders in order to develop policy recommendations and strategic interventions to strengthen labour standards in Thailand’s rubber supply chain in line with international standards.

ECOT’s participation reflects the commitment of Thailand’s employer community to promote balanced and sustainable economic and labour development, while enhancing the country’s competitiveness in the global market.
