ILO and ECOT Visit Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to Learn Good Practices on Labour Rights and the Protection of Women Workers
On the morning of Friday, 22 May 2026, the International Labour Organization (ILO), together with the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT), visited Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. at Amata City Industrial Estate, Chonburi Province.
The visit was conducted under the EnhanceRights Project, a project on the promotion of human rights and labour rights implemented by the ILO with funding support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Japan. The project aims to address the social protection needs of vulnerable workers, particularly women workers, while strengthening labour institutions and promoting effective social dialogue in key manufacturing industries in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor, especially in Chonburi Province.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange knowledge and learn from Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd.’s good practices in protecting maternity leave rights, promoting gender equality, and strengthening social protection for women workers. The visit also provided an opportunity to gain insights into workplace facilities and initiatives that support workers’ well-being, particularly women workers.
