ECOT Participates in Job and Market Fair 2026, Supporting Inclusive and Sustainable Employment and Career Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities

On Monday, 31 August 2026, at 9:00 a.m., the Employers’ Confederation of Thailand (ECOT), represented by Mr. Kornchai Kaewmahavong, attended the opening ceremony of the “Job and Market Fair: Employment and Career Opportunities Fair for Persons with Disabilities 2026 (Central Region)” at the Multipurpose Hall, Government Complex Building B, the Government Complex Commemorating His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary, Bangkok.

The event was organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Association of Persons with Disabilities of Thailand and the Council of Disabled People of Thailand, from 31 August to 1 September 2026. The event aimed to expand opportunities for persons with disabilities to access employment, develop their skills, and pursue sustainable careers.

Key activities at the opening ceremony included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, the presentation of honorary awards to organisations supporting the employment of persons with disabilities, as well as activities and discussion sessions on approaches to promoting employment and career development. These activities reflected the cooperation among the public sector, private sector, and civil society in expanding economic and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

ECOT places great importance on promoting an inclusive and equitable labour market and supports cooperation among employers in creating appropriate employment opportunities. These efforts aim to enable persons with disabilities to develop their potential, earn an income, and participate meaningfully in driving sustainable economic and social development.
